Larson Park – Trail Ruts Golf Course

Guernsey is the home of a scenic nine-hole golf course located on the trail between the Oregon Trail Ruts and Register Cliff, hence, the name Trail Ruts Municipal Golf Course. They offer a wide range of services from golfing and camping to showers. For the vacationer they have weekend passes, vacation golf pass (two weeks), golf and camping packages, (RV’s as well as tent sites), cart and club rental and weekly camp rates. Gordon Davis Park has been upgraded over the years using grant funds, donations, and volunteers. Thank you to everyone that has helped make our town beautiful!

Heimbuck Park

Heimbuck Park is a  developed seven-acre park tucked along the scenic North Platte River. Using grant funds and community volunteers the park is home to picnic shelters, bathroom, playground, skate park and disc golf course. Community volunteers cleaned up the park and riverbank by removing over 20 dump truck loads of overgrowth and trash out of the park. The park is edged with a lighted walkway and river overlook area. Over twenty planted trees and a sprinkler system make the park a great place to picnic and play.

Skate Park

The Town, with the extensive help from our Community Development Coordinator Bruce Heimbuck, received a grant from the Tony Hawk Foundation in the amount of $5,000 in 2009. American Ramp Company who designed the Skate Park MATCHED the grant and the youths in the area raised over $1,000!

Bring your skates or skateboard and show us what you’ve got!
