Welcome to Guernsey, WY

Message from the Mayor

I’m Mayor Ed Delgado,

Our Town has rich history that provides a glimpse into the past with the deepest ruts on the Oregon Trail, Register Cliff and the Pony Express way station. The Town was originally known as the “emigrant’s wash tub” because of the warm springs that are located just west of town. Incorporated in 1902 when the Chicago, Burlington, and Quincy Railroad reached the area and became known as the “Hub of the Oregon Trail”.

Today Guernsey’s economy is diverse and hosts Camp Guernsey National Guard Base, BNSF, a flourishing industrial park and is a short commute to the surrounding communities that compliment Guernsey’s economic market.

A great Town, a recreationist's dream.

I encourage you to come spend a day with us in Guernsey, you will fall in love with the people, culture and beautiful scenery that encompass the Town.

To All Town of Guernsey Water Users We are required to monitor your drinking water for total coliform bacteria on a regular basis. Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not our drinking water meets health standards. During January 2024 we did not complete all monitoring for total coliform (compliance period) bacteria and therefore cannot be sure of the quality of our drinking water during that time.
January 2024 - Insufficient Number of Routine Samples (2)
Collected samples in February 2024.
Will continue to collect samples as required by EPA monthly.
Contact Mike Fronapfel at 307-836-2335 with questions.
